Four girls attacked a 13-year-old and tormented her for hours. Her act made headlines and horror. Now the trial against her for joint robbery and dangerous bodily harm begins.
The video of her act circulated on the internet – and caused horror: a group of four girls attacked a 13-year-old girl in February. They are said to have tortured their victim for hours. Now the girls are facing joint robbery and dangerous bodily harm before the district court of Meldorf in Schleswig-Holstein. The trial against the 14- to 17-year-olds begins today and will be heard by a juvenile court in camera. A verdict could come the same day.
Two of the perpetrators apologize after a cruel act
The crime happened on February 21, 2023 in Heide. That day, the girls attacked their victim in public. In video of the incident, the 13-year-old victim can be seen crying and begging for mercy. But the gang of girls continued to torment the girl for hours. When a walker happened to pass the scene, the group of girls threatened their victim not to call for help. Instead, they pretended to take amicable care of the crying 13-year-old.
The accused girls and the victim are said to have known each other before the crime and had an argument. The 13-year-old’s mother told RTL that two of the perpetrators are said to have apologized to her daughter after the crime. The girls talked to each other. “Everyone cried and hugged each other. It was emotional,” she says.
Victim’s mother is sticking with the complaint
Despite the apology, the 13-year-old’s mother stuck to the complaint against the perpetrators. She wants the perpetrators to learn from their misconduct and to answer for it in court, reports RTL and refers to a phone call with her.
