Bayern returnees with a lot of tailwind
The return of Josip Stanisic to FC Bayern casts its shadows. There he could really shake up the starting eleven.

While there are rumors surrounding some Bayern stars and their future with the record champions does not seem to be certain, the two bosses can rely on a returnee: Josip Stanisic.
Stanisic could set new appeal points
The 24-year-old is currently on loan at Bayer Leverkusen, but will return to Munich in the summer. There, the Bavarian homegrown player could really shake up the statics in the squad and create new points of interest.
Because his development in Leverkusen is remarkable. Stanisic has already made a total of 28 competitive appearances under Xabi Alonso. He became a fixture at Bayer 04, especially in the second half of the season.

His trump card is his serious style of play. Stanisic doesn’t try miracles, but delivers honest work – and in the top game against Bayern in February he even scored the important 1-0 lead for the Werkself.
Stanisic shines with his versatility
The Croatian international also shines with his versatility. In addition to the right-back position, he can also be used at six – as happened in the cup duel against Fortuna Düsseldorf.
“I came in well and just tried to play. I’ve played it before. “So it’s not like it was completely unusual,” Stanisic said after the game SPORT1 and thus underlines its versatility.
As a reminder: the 24-year-old was even used as a left full-back several times under Julian Nagelsmann. A position that could soon become vacant if Alphonso Davies leaves.

On the other hand, right-back Noussair Mazraoui is considered a candidate for sale. Here too, Stanisic could come into play and enable Joshua Kimmich to return to the number six position.
Will he be part of a new Bayern axis?
Stanisic, the Munich native, could form the new axis of FC Bayern in the medium term with other – even younger – stars.
Aleksandar Pavlovic, Mathys Tel and Jamal Musiala are eligible for this. All four have enormous credit among die-hard fans – so their mistakes are more easily forgiven than other professionals.
The fact is: Stanisic has matured again in this one season in Leverkusen. The work under Xabi Alonso is bearing fruit.
So it’s no wonder that the defender hints that he would like the Spanish mentor to be his Munich coach. Stanisic agreed to Alonso’s stay in Leverkusen SPORT1: “I’m glad he’s happy here. For me it’s perhaps a bit of a shame. I may have wished for a different outcome. But it’s not a dream concert.”
Stanisic is now on the verge of his fourth championship in a row – and not just as a backup at FCB, but also as a top performer in Leverkusen.
So there is enough potential to soon change the statics in the Munich squad significantly in his favor.
