The Harley Days in Hamburg come to an end today with a big parade. Already on Friday and Saturday, many motorcycle fans were drawn to the wholesale market.
Several thousand bikers are currently on the traditional final ride of the Harley Days. The parade is led by celebrities. In-Extremo singer Michael Robert Rhein, ex-stunt woman Miriam Höller, professional athlete Julia Dorny and actors Till Demtrøder and Ludwig Trepte wanted to ride at the top.
The route does not cross the Köhlbrand Bridge
The route leads from the wholesale market to the Elbe bridges, then through the harbor to the Köhlbrand bridge, but not up because the bridge is closed for repairs. Instead, it goes via Freihafenelbbrücke, Hafencity and Speicherstadt to the Landungsbrücken, then via the Reeperbahn and Willy-Brandt-Straße back to the wholesale market. Many streets are closed because of the parade and because of the half marathon, which is also taking place in Hamburg today.

Harley Days charged admission for the first time
Admission to the grounds of the Hamburg wholesale market is free on Sunday. On Friday and Saturday, an entry fee of ten euros per day was charged on the site for the first time. “We didn’t rest during the Corona break, we invested,” a spokeswoman explained the decision.

Stunt show and rockabilly area
To the 19th edition of Harley Days there were several innovations: These included a stunt show by the Polish stuntman and world record holder Maciej “DOP” Bielicki, a rockabilly area including the appropriate rock’n’roll music and a lawn area to rest and recharge your batteries. As in previous years, there were also guided tours to various destinations in the region – such as the Zollenspieker Fährhaus and the Lüneburg Heath.
Environmentalists are against the big rattle
The Hamburg Nature Conservation Union (NABU) criticized the event for environmental reasons. He categorically rejects the event due to its impact on people and the environment.
