The atmosphere in the national team was extremely tense during the desolate 2022 World Cup. The trailer for the documentary series “All or Nothing” shows in particular an acidified national coach.

Hansi Flick is standing in the dressing room at Al Bayt Stadium. “If we continue like this, we’ll go home!”, the national coach shouts loudly at his national players – the atmosphere seems extremely tense: The trailer for the four-part Amazon documentary “All or Nothing: The National Team in Qatar” gives a first insight into the inner workings of the DFB selection, which failed miserably at the World Cup in Qatar almost ten months ago.

The trailer does not show exactly when the individual excerpts were recorded during the tournament. “It’s not a team like I imagine, to be honest,” says Flick in one scene, in another: “I think it’s starting here! We’re playing the World Cup here!” Another excerpt shows the national coach with the sentence: “I expect everyone to be the warrior in the end.”

The national team drew 1-1 against Spain in the second group match at the Al-Bayt Stadium and was 0-0 at half-time. In addition, Germany was eliminated in the Bedouin Tent Arena despite beating Costa Rica 4-2 in the preliminary round. At half-time, Germany was leading 1-0. Germany lost 2-1 to Japan at the Chalifa International Stadium.

The then DFB director Oliver Bierhoff, who had to go after the World Cup, can also be seen in the trailer for the documentary that will appear on Amazon Prime on September 8th. “What’s going on with this team,” he said in one scene, “I’m seething,” in another.
