Grandchild trick: 79-year-old hands gold bars and jewelry to scammers – Furstenfeldbruck

The call to a 79-year-old woman on Friday in the Graßlfing district of Olching was not an April Fool’s joke, but cold-bloodedly planned fraud. As a result, criminals relieved her of jewelry and gold. The Fürstenfeldbruck criminal police are investigating. According to the police headquarters in Oberbayern Nord in Ingolstadt, the senior received a call early on Friday afternoon. A stranger informed her that her daughter had caused a traffic accident. In order not to go to jail, they need money. To underline the demand, a woman was brought to the phone. This supposed daughter then cried for money.

So unsettled, the elderly woman went to her bank, where she took a four-digit amount of money and gold bars from a safe deposit box. She then drove to the shopping center in Schwaigfeld, where she handed over the valuables to an unknown woman at the loading ramp of a drugstore.

In order to track down the fraudsters, the Fürstenfeldbruck criminal police are dependent on tips from witnesses who saw something suspicious on Friday afternoon. The Kripo receives information under the telephone number 08141/612-0.
