Gräfelfing’s mayor Peter Köstler (CSU) is the recipient of the Covid 19 deployment medal. The award with the official name “Deployment Medal of the Sovereign Order of Malta” was presented by the district manager of the Malteser Aid Service, Dieter Wunsche, in Gräfelfing. The Malteser thanked Peter Köstler as a representative of the municipality for the support in setting up a test station during the corona pandemic. The Covid-19 Response Medal is the first donated by the Sovereign Council of Malta. It should be a sign of recognition. “I am very touched by this award,” explains Peter Köstler. “The Malteser are continuously making an important and valuable contribution here in Gräfelfing. Supporting them in their work wherever possible is a matter of course for me.”
