Good news for motorists. The portion of the A13 motorway located between the Paris ring road and the A86, closed since April 18, will gradually reopen from Saturday May 11, “in the Province-Paris direction”, the Hauts-Prefecture announced on Monday. de-Seine.
“A reopening of the A13 motorway in the Province-Paris direction will be possible from next Saturday, May 11 to light vehicles only, provided that all safety conditions are met,” the prefecture said in a press release.
Exterior work called into question
“The analyzes carried out today show that the work carried out outside the structure on a nearby construction site is, according to the most probable hypothesis, the causes of this movement of the ground,” a- she added.
The Hauts-de-Seine prefecture announced on the evening of April 18 the closure of this busy section of motorway west of Paris for security reasons following “ground movements”. “During a scheduled closure of the motorway for works, a transverse crack in the A13 in the Saint-Cloud sector was observed,” she indicated.
“Heavier” work in the other direction
The A13 motorway connects Paris to Caen, in Normandy, via the south of Rouen. It is particularly used by Parisians wishing to go to the Normandy coast.
“In the Paris-Province direction, heavier repair work is however necessary,” detailed the prefecture, specifying that “solutions are being studied” and that a “reopening timetable will be specified later”. The A13 motorway between Paris and Orgeval (Yvelines) is managed by the French State, represented by the Île-de-France Roads Department (Dirif).
