Among this, we can let ourselves be tempted by the Courage Forest composed of sweet black sesame paste, black sesame praline, choux pastry biscuit, butternut cream, whipped ganache, black sesame, lemon squash coulis. The Crois-Sang is a croissant with vegetable charcoal, candied kiwi and broccoli basil. And the most daring will opt for the Harry flower potwhich really looks like a flowerpot, at least on the outside, because inside… we’ll leave you the surprise.

Recipes for the Adams family
Chef and content creator Thibaud Villanona, aka Gastrogeek, continues his pop culinary adventure with his new gothic cookbook. After exploring the world of video games, Star Wars and Disney, he has just released his collection of “chilling” recipes. By imagining entertaining fictional characters such as Casper the Ghost, Beetlejuice or Hellboy for dinner, Gastrogeek offers recipes as original as illusion noodles or Mrs. Lovett’s meat pies, inspired by the film Sweeney Todd by Tim Burton but guaranteed without human meat. Pleasant surprise: the rather easy recipes do not require black magic to reproduce.

The most Mexican Day of the Dead in France
Do you know that in the Ubaye valley, in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, is the most Mexican of French towns? In Barcelonnette, Mexico is everywhere. Particularly during the period of the Día de los Muertos festival, the Mexican counterpart of the Anglo-Saxon Halloween. Thanks to its migratory history between Mexico and this mountain town, the traditions have crossed the ocean and are available every year around November 1st. This new edition, which takes place from Friday October 27 to Tuesday October 31, includes the essentials of the Day of the Dead with makeup workshops to transform yourself into Catrinas (female skeletons), the creation of an altar in homage to the dead or even a parade to the sound of Mariachis.

A cult movie evening
The Le Louxor cinema, in the Barbès district of Paris, is going into Halloween mode but a cinephile version with the screening of two cult British films but rarely shown during an exceptional evening on October 31. First of all, The Wicker Man, where a police officer responsible for investigating a mysterious disappearance on an island finds himself at the heart of frightening pagan rites. A classic from 1973 which is reminiscent of the universe of Midsommar by Ari Aster released in 2019. The second film is The Appointment, the only film by director Lindsey C. Vickers. Described as a horrifying masterpiece by the rare spectators who had access to it, this story of a family subjected to an evil force is re-released in a restored version 40 years after its initial release.
