Suspected abuse in Vienna: 17 suspects

According to the public prosecutor’s office, the victim is younger than 14 years old. Several teenagers are suspected of abusing and raping girls.
Austrian authorities are investigating the alleged multiple abuse and rape of a girl Vienna. A total of 17 young people are suspected, as the spokeswoman for the Vienna public prosecutor’s office explained to the German Press Agency.
Police questioned the suspects but have not yet arrested them. One of the young people is being investigated for alleged rape, the rest for alleged serious sexual abuse of a minor, said the spokeswoman. The girl is therefore younger than 14 years.
Due to the ongoing investigation and to protect the victim, the public prosecutor’s office did not provide any more detailed information about the girl concerned or the crimes that were said to have taken place last year. The “Kronen Zeitung” first reported on the case.
