Gastronomy in Munich: A new innkeeper for the Menterschwaige – Munich

It is now official who will run the Menterschwaige estate in the future: the innkeeper couple Till and Pamela Weiß are set to take over the business from spring 2025. The Augustiner Brewery announced this on Monday. The renovation work is still ongoing and it is not yet clear when it will be completed, according to a press release from the brewery. Nevertheless, the brewery is pleased that “we have already been able to find an excellent landlord and owner couple for this gem on the banks of the Isar.”

Till and Pamela Weiß are the innkeepers of the “Augustiner am Wörthsee”; they have been running the restaurant since 2018. The Menterschwaige is a popular restaurant with a beer garden in Harlaching; the long-time Wiesn innkeeper Christian Schottenhamel was the tenant there for more than 20 years. It should be run in the style of a Bavarian tavern with a large beer garden, event rooms as well as a small ice cream parlor and a kiosk, the press release continues. 28 new overnight rooms will be added.
