These are the new releases at Netflix, Disney and Amazon Prime Video in May

“Star Wars”, “Bridgerton” and a Bleibtreu series: Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney have a lot of new things to offer in May. Here you can find the complete list – and the best tips.
Even if the temperatures rise and Germans head outside, the wheels of streaming services do not stand still. At Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Co. will also have a lot of new material in May.
Netflix news in May: It’s getting romantic again
Many fans are particularly looking forward to the new season of “Bridgerton”. The costume drama with the modern strife goes into its third round on May 16th. Unfortunately then we have to wait: initially there are only the first four episodes.
Otherwise there is of course much more content. “The Euro Final: Attack on Wembley” traces the British national team’s path to the final of the 2020 European Championship in England to get in the mood for the European Football Championship. In “Unfrosted,” comedy legend Jerry Seinfeld dares to make his first film. And the house defectors from Orange County celebrate their return in “Selling the OC.”
Disney+ in May: May May be with you
There is a must-do date for the Maus Group in May – after all, May the Fourth is the official “Star Wars” day (in English, “May the Fourth” sounds like the “May the force..” in the famous sentence “‘Möge die Power to be with you”). Accordingly, Disney+ has a new series up its sleeve for the date: In “Stories of the Empire,” the animated series shows the path of two fighters through the harsh everyday lives under the emperor’s yoke. His infamous helper with the most famous breathing in film history also makes a guest appearance.
There’s also the Beatles documentary “Let it Be”, the new season of the Kardashians and the German mystery series “Pauline”.
New to Amazon Prime Video in May:
There is also a new series from Germany on Amazon. In “Viktor Brings It” Moritz Bleibtreu plays a service technician who not only struggles with his Berlin customers, but also with his private life.
A second highlight also comes from Germany. “Maxton Hall – The World Between Us” is based on the series of novels by Mona Kasten about the dramas at the elite college of the same name.
