Franconia crime scene: Dagmar Manzel stops as Chief Inspector Ringelhahn – media

Dagmar Manzel started her last shooting as a commissioner in “Tatort” and will then leave the ARD crime series. “When it’s most beautiful, you should stop,” said the 64-year-old, according to Bayerischer Rundfunk (BR). “Paula is an exciting and multifaceted character and I am very grateful that I was able to create her – and at the same time there are many other things that I am incredibly excited about.”

In the Franconian crime scene Manzel has been chief inspector Paula Ringelhahn for eight years. With the tenth case, the Berlin actress gets out. According to her own statements, she already has various plans for the future, “for example staging an opera, playing with the grandchildren or going on holiday for several weeks at a time”.

Bettina Ricklefs, head of the BR program area feature film series, praised the actress for her work. She brought her character of Paula to life with precision, cleverness, depth and great inner wealth. Since 2015, Manzel has been part of the trio of investigators of the Franconiancrime scene. According to the BR, it is still unclear who will take over her successor.

The three are currently shooting the crime thriller “Trotzdem”, directed by Max Färberböck, around Nuremberg, as reported by BR. In it, a young man is innocent in the opinion of his friends and family – because of the violent death of a woman. When he kills himself, a series of disturbing developments begins.
