Former Pope Benedict XVI accused of inaction in four cases in Germany

The scandals incriminating members of the Catholic Church in cases of pedophilia have obviously not planned to stop falling. This time it is the pontiff emeritus Benedict XVI who finds himself in turmoil. An independent report presented Thursday in Germany accuses him of not having acted to prevent four cases of sexual abuse of minors.

The facts were allegedly committed by clerics in the archdiocese of Munich, which the former pope ruled around the 1980s, the authors of the report, commissioned by the Church, said at a press conference.
