A German (55) living in Forbach (France) is said to have kept his wife (53) captive in a room for twelve years and tortured her!
The German managed to steal a phone on Sunday evening and call emergency services in Wiesbaden (Hesse). French police found the woman malnourished and with her hair shaved in the apartment, then took her to a clinic. She is also said to have traces of old broken bones on her extremities.
The German stated that her husband had been locked in the house on the German-French border since 2011. During the search, investigators found a torture rack and a notebook.
According to French TV broadcaster BFMTV, all the rooms were fitted with wire mesh. Apparently to prevent the nine cats in the household from escaping.
The police in Metz were able to arrest the husband. He is being investigated for rape, torture and acts of barbarism. According to officials, a neighbor warned the police in 2019. But the couple denied the allegations at the time.
