There is a lot of speculation. Paris Saint-Germain reportedly wants to sign Joshua Kimmich from FC Bayern. What’s behind it?

Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich (28) has found himself at the center of a wild transfer rumor.

As the French sports daily “L’Équipe” reported without citing a source, Paris Saint-Germain is said to want to try to bring in the national player as part of negotiations for Nordi Mukiele (26).

The German football record champions have reportedly made an offer of 25 million euros for the former Leipzig defender in order to strengthen their own defense. In return, Paris is said to want to bring in Kimmich, who is contractually bound to Munich until the summer of 2025. “L’Équipe” itself admitted that the chances of success were “extremely slim”. There were initially no official statements about the speculation.

Kevin Danso reportedly in talks

PSG coach Luis Enrique is said to be impressed by the versatile Kimmich. Accordingly, the 82-time national player, who is planned as a leading figure at FC Bayern, could initially replace Achraf Hakimi on the right side of defense until the Moroccan returns from the Africa Cup of Nations. After that, Kimmich could move into the French midfield.

The TV broadcaster Sky meanwhile names former Augsburg native Kevin Danso (25) as a defense candidate at FC Bayern. The Munich team have reportedly inquired about the Austrian international’s current contract situation and transfer options from RC Lens. However, Danso was unable to assert himself in the Bundesliga during his time at FC Augsburg. The topic is not hot at the moment, they say.
