Saarbrücken Erdmann after accusations of racism: “It was hell”

Professional footballer Dennis Erdmann has again commented on the racism allegations against him on Instagram. Accordingly, he and his family have been exposed to insults and vandalism.
Dennis Erdmann of the third division soccer team 1. FC Saarbrücken, who was last banned after racism allegations, spoke up with an impressive social media post. The 30-year-old defender wrote on Instagram that his car was damaged and he was flooded with letters, packages and messages “with symbols”. “My life as a footballer and also as a family man was put to a tough test and almost destroyed. It was hell to fall asleep in the evening and wake up in the morning. I had the feeling of emptiness, of helplessness,” continued Erdmann.
The DFB sports court blocked Erdmann for eight weeks in September because of racist statements. In the past week, the sentence was reduced, the professional was allowed to play again for the first time at the weekend. The deputy chairman of the sports court, Stephan Oberholz, said at the time: “As a result of the evidence, the sports court is convinced that the player has made the following remarks in the direction of the Magdeburg professional Sirlord Conteh:” He should go home with his parents paddle.”
Erdmann continues to reject allegations
Erdmann firmly and repeatedly denied the allegations. On the contrary, the 30-year-old professional saw a conspiracy by the Magdeburg professionals against themselves: “The players Atik and Condè from my formerly esteemed club 1. FC Magdeburg agreed on the morning before the game on August 25th that they wanted to injure me in the evening this did not work out, I was seriously harmed due to a BILD newspaper article. ” He now announced via Instagram: “It is important to me to say and one last time that I have not made any of these statements.”
He did not explain why Erdmann spoke of “misunderstandings” that had occurred after the judgment. The statement had led to the subsequent reduction of the sentence, but in a legal sense is tantamount to a confession.
