The actress became a star with the “Fack ju Göhte” series. In the film “Chantal in Fairytale Land” she can be seen again in her cult role – and receives support from many guest stars.

Actress Jella Haase is back in her “Fack ju Göhte” role Chantal – and she now gets her own stage. The 31-year-old, who played the lovable, chaotic Chantal in the school film trilogy “Fack ju Göhte”, will star in the cinema adventure “Chantal can be seen again in her cult role in “Fairytale Land”.

In addition to the Berliners Haase and Gizem Emre, other roles include Nora Tschirner, Frederick Lau, Alexandra Maria Lara, Elena Uhlig and Jannik Schümann. There will also be a reunion with Elyas M’Barek, who played the substitute teacher Zeki Müller in the “Fack ju Göhte” series.

As the title suggests, it becomes magical: Chantal and her best friend Zeynep (as played by Emre in “Fack ju Göhte”) end up in an antique magic mirror that the chronically unsuccessful influencer thinks is a social media gimmick. into a fairytale world. In the first teaser trailer for the film, which was released by the film production company Constantin Film, you can see Chantal rumbling through fairytale locations in pompous clothes.

“Thanks to her ghetto skills, Chantal clears up reactionary fairytale clichés, fights against curses, tyrannical kings – and, above all, for her friendship with Zeynep,” says Constantin Film’s description. The spin-off is a “funny and touching adventure that gives the world of fairy tales a new and contemporary twist.”

As with the “Fack ju Göhte” films, the script and direction of the comedy are by Bora Dagtekin, and the production is again by Lena Schömann – the duo also worked together on the cinema hits “Turkish for Beginners” and “The Perfect Secret”. The three “Fack ju Göhte” films between 2013 and 2017 were seen by well over 20 million viewers in the cinema.
