Lindner expects a quick decision on basic child security
The traffic light coalition debated funding for months – now basic child welfare is to come. According to the Federal Minister of Finance, the legislation is making rapid progress.
Lindner and Family Minister Lisa Paus (Greens) had struggled for months about financing basic child welfare. After both sides had reached an agreement in principle, it was still unclear when the cabinet would approve the corresponding draft law. While Paus initially mentioned September 13th as the date, there was recent talk that the Ministry of Finance needed four more weeks to examine the law.
