One person was fatally injured in a serious traffic accident on the A8 near Irschenberg in the Miesbach district on Friday evening. The 77-year-old Bosnian citizen was driving his car down the Irschenberg when, for reasons that are still unclear, he veered off the road to the left at around 9:30 p.m. and initially hit the guardrail. The car was then thrown across the road onto the right guardrail. The car ended up staying there.
The man was found lifeless in his car by the fire department, resuscitated and taken to a hospital in an ambulance. He died there from his injuries during the night. The Rosenheim traffic police have started an investigation and are asking for witnesses to provide information about the accident.
