If parents do violence to one another, if they regularly and violently argue, this has consequences for the children. Christian Pröls-Geiger, deputy head of the child protection center in Munich, fears that this problem has increased during the pandemic. The security report of the Munich police headquarters recorded 3,016 cases of domestic violence in the past year, four out of five suspects are men. But only a small fraction of the violence at home is actually reported.
