“Uli Hoeneß then contacted my advisor and asked: ‘How stupid is he?'” Said the striker. From then on, Bayern refrained from a transfer.

At the inauguration of the Allianz Arena, when Asamoah should have played with the German national team against Bayern, the then DFB coach Jürgen Klinsmann even deleted the striker from the squad to avoid an escalation of the conflict.
