Twelve children and a 42-year-old carer were injured in a collision between a truck and a coach on Monday morning shortly before the end of the A94 in Munich. The woman and two children were taken to hospitals. The accident occurred shortly after nine o’clock when a 52-year-old truck driver from the Mühldorf district overlooked the bus driving next to him while changing lanes and rammed it. The bus door was broken, as the traffic police in Hohenbrunn announced.

There were 47 children between the ages of six and eight on the bus and four carers from a primary school in the Mühldorf district who were taking a trip to a theater in Munich. Based on the first report, the fire department sent out a large contingent of 23 rescue vehicles and ten emergency vehicles. During the operation, both lanes in the direction of Munich were closed for around an hour and a half. Traffic was directed over the hard shoulder.

Most of the children were then able to go home on a replacement bus. The truck and the damaged bus were still intact enough that they did not need to be towed; They suffered damage amounting to around 25,000 euros.
