A 2:2 is enough for the Hungarians. The decisive equalizer comes late. Austria is getting in the right mood before the duel with the DFB team.

Austria warmed up for Tuesday’s friendly against Germany with a confident win.

Coach Ralf Rangnick’s team, which had already qualified for the European Football Championship, won 2-0 (2-0) in Estonia. Spain had also already secured qualification for the 2024 tournament and won 3-1 (3-0) in Cyprus.

Late own goal gives Hungary a ticket to the European Championship

Hungary has now completed its participation in the European Championships in Germany after a late equalizer to make it 2-2 (1-1) in Bulgaria. Martin Adam (10th minute) quickly gave the Hungarians the lead, but Spas Delev (24th) equalized before the break. Kiril Despodow (79th) finally gave Bulgaria the lead. But in the seventh minute of injury time, Bulgaria’s Alex Petkow scored an own goal, which was enough for Hungary to qualify for the European Championships.

Bundesliga professionals score for Austria

The Austrians were able to plan for the European Championships in advance. The Bundesliga professionals Konrad Laimer (26th) and Philipp Lienhart (40th) scored for success in Estonia. On Tuesday, Rangnick’s team will welcome the DFB team for a friendly.

The 16-year-old Lamine Yamal (5th), Mikel Oyarzabal (22nd) and Joselu (28th) were successful for the Spaniards in Cyprus. Kostas Pielas (75th) scored the next goal for the hosts. The group victory can now hardly be taken away from the Spaniards.
