A Russian military machine triggered the start of a Eurofighter alarm squad from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. It is the second incident of this kind within a year.
A Russian reconnaissance machine has again been spotted over the Baltic Sea without any identification signal. The “Ilyushin 20” aircraft triggered a start of the alarm squad at the Laage Air Base in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

The alarm squad usually consists of two Eurofighters that rise within minutes to check and, if necessary, ward off possible threats. The mutual checks are largely routine.
