Eric Ciotti tackles Rachida Dati by saying that “politics is not the Star Academy”

Éric Ciotti cannot digest the entry of Rachida Dati into the government of Gabriel Attal. “Politics is not the Star Academy,” criticized the boss of LR Monday evening on TF1.

“She left our political family. Naturally, I won’t tell you this evening that it didn’t affect me. Especially since she’s a friend. It shocked us,” reacted the leader of the right-wing party in the 8 p.m. newspaper.

The “we’re not in, we’re out” policy

“I found this choice inconsistent with remaining in our political family,” continued Éric Ciotti who immediately announced the exclusion of Rachida Dati from LR after her appointment last Thursday. “We can’t be outside and inside. I was elected, we were elected on an opposition mandate, not for a systematic opposition, but to serve convictions, values. For me, politics is not the Star Academy, it is not we come in, we go out, we can embrace all theses, all convictions.”

“For me, politics must be clarity and consistency. And this consistency is essential. Otherwise, our voters no longer find their way. We cannot be LR and member of a government that we oppose because its record is not good,” he concluded.

Sarkozy Rachida Dati, mayor of the 7th arrondissement of Paris, was appointed Minister of Culture, two years before the municipal elections where she aims to conquer Paris.
