Elon Musk has done a lot of things right in his life: shaken up stubborn industries, become the richest man in the world. So it pays to listen when he says something. But even someone like Musk, who one would call a brilliant lateral thinker if this word hadn’t been annexed by the wrong people, is sometimes wrong. Maybe that’s in the nature of lateral thinking: you need it for the big changes in the world, but thinking straight is often smarter.
