The automotive supplier Dr. Schneider from Kronach in Upper Franconia has filed for bankruptcy. The company said it wanted to take this step to restructure itself. Around 2,000 employees are affected, but the foreign subsidiaries in the USA, China, Spain and Poland are not. The company manufactures components for vehicle interiors such as panels or ventilation systems. He sees “fundamentally good chances for a restructuring,” said the provisional insolvency administrator Joachim Exner from the law firm Dr. Beck and associates.
