Dolphins escort gendarmes in operation against sea poachers

Recognition of the belly? Friday, the gendarmes of the nautical brigade of Saint-Cyprien, in the Pyrénées-Orientales, they had the nice surprise of being accompanied on their trip to sea off Barcarès: a family of dolphins stayed “for a while” in their wake, leaving the military free to film it. They share this cute moment on their
Facebook page.

And as their patrol was going out for an operation to fight against illegal fishing, the gendarmes like to think that this honorary escort was a way for cetaceans to thank them “for protecting their pantry”.

The patrol recognizes that it encountered “few offenders” that day and often contented itself with teaching users. But it was worth it anyway.
