Do you play games of chance?

From the National Lottery to the Française des jeux (FDJ), there is ninety years of history. An almost century-old saga which began in 1933 with the creation by the State of the French National Lottery with the aim of helping the wounded of the First World War, veterans and victims of agricultural calamities. At the time, the amount of the first drawing, which took place on November 7, 1933, amounted to five million francs.

Since then, several drawing games have joined the national lottery family, which became the Française des Jeux (FDJ) in 1991: the Loto (1976), the late Tac O Tac (1983), the Millionnaire (1991), the EuroMillions (2004), Heritage Lottery (2018). This Monday, a new addition saw the light of day, EuroDreams, in cooperation with eight other European lotteries. Its particularity: the winnings are in the form of an annuity, which can reach “20,000 euros per month for thirty years” for the winners, which is equivalent to 7.2 million euros in total.

Loto, EuroMillions, EuroDreams… What is your opinion on games of chance? Do you play from time to time? If yes, which ones ? And how often? Do you fear a form of addiction? Have you ever won at a game of chance? Or do you have loved ones who hit the jackpot? Do you already know how you would spend your winnings? Tell us. Your testimony will be used to write an article.
