Glasses, with removable branches, are at the center of new revelations in the investigation into the disappearance of Delphine Jubillar, the nurse who vanished from her home in Cagnac-les-Mines (Tarn) ten years ago. eight months. A branch was found behind the sofa in the living room on which she slept, another on the kitchen table, the frame on the counter of this same room. The pieces of this puzzle were entrusted to experts from the Directorate General of Armaments (DGA) who carried out extensive tests. According to information released Tuesday evening by The Parisianthe specialists delivered their conclusions, which were added to the investigation file on April 7.
And they would support the thesis of a fight between the two spouses on the evening of the disappearance. The DGA engineers consider that the examinations and tests carried out make it possible to conclude that “the damage observed on the pair of glasses […] are the consequence of dynamic efforts”. Efforts applied from “outside in”, otherwise resulting from a blow. On the other hand, they rule out that the damage could result from a fall from the top of the 161 cm of the disappeared. Finally, they claim that as they stand, the glasses were no longer usable, in particular because the right lens could no longer hold, while Louis, the couple’s son, confided that his mother was wearing his glasses when he watched television with her on the fateful evening.
The defense prefers to take an interest in Delphine’s phone
These findings stick with the hypothesis of the gendarmes and the examining magistrates, that of an argument between Delphine and Cédric Jubillar, already supported by the testimony of their son and by the “cries of dread” heard by two neighbors.
But they also have the gift of annoying Cédric Jubillar’s trio of lawyers to the highest degree. First on the form. Since to date they have “not had any communication” of this expertise. They are also preparing to seize this Wednesday the Toulouse prosecutor’s office on “this new violation, in charge, of the secrecy of the instruction”. The husband’s defenders also dispute the scope of this expertise. “We have taken one more step in this delirious investigation”, comments Me Emmanuelle Franck. She first points out that these glasses were only entrusted to the expertise “one year after the disappearance”.
“It has long been established in the file that the glasses were broken,” she continues. But she had two pairs and we don’t even know which one she used. The defense is ironic about the fact that Cédric Jubillar, to whom the prosecution lends a certain coolness, was able to “put the glasses on the kitchen counter so that the gendarmes, whom he called himself, see well”. Finally, Emmanuelle Franck recalls that Cédric Jubillar lent himself to a forensic examination in the hours following the disappearance of his wife. The latter did not find any trace on his hands or knuckles suggesting that he could have struck a blow.
And Delphine Jubillar’s phone never found but activated?
On the side of the defense of the husband, who wants to favor the track of a voluntary departure, we are attached to another piece, already revealed and also added to the file recently. This is information provided by the phone manufacturer Huawei. They indicate that the device, never found, of Delphine Jubillar activated several times during the night of the disappearance. “The last time at 6:52 a.m., an hour when we were sure that our client was at home with the gendarmes,” fumed Emmanuelle Franck.
Cédric Jubillar, in pre-trial detention for ten months now at the Seysses remand center, near Toulouse, must be heard again by the investigating judges on May 12.
