District of Munich – number of cases decreases slightly – district of Munich

Even if the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) continues to correct the seven-day incidence for the district of Munich retrospectively upwards every day, the trend is correct: the number of infections is currently declining slightly. The RKI raised the value of 1516.8 initially reported on Monday to 1741.6 on Tuesday, but on Tuesday a week ago the health department had reported 1219 detected infections within 24 hours, this Tuesday it was only 901. Also a look on the development of the incidence shows that the development towards incidences of more than 2000 initially feared by District Administrator Christoph Göbel (CSU) has not yet occurred. Although the value of 1431.0 reported on Tuesday is probably too low due to positive test results arriving late, the incidence has recently fallen slightly over the course of the week. It peaked at 1998.4 last Friday.
