The first Palestinian Memorial Day demonstration was peaceful. In the evening in Neukölln the police had to intervene. A march to the Brandenburg Gate is planned for Saturday.

After a peaceful demonstration on the Palestinian Nakba Day of Remembrance in Berlin-Charlottenburg There were minor tumults in Berlin-Neukölln yesterday evening. According to the police, demonstrators set fire to trash cans and pyrotechnics and Bengalos were also set off.

The police arrested a double-digit number of demonstrators, said a spokeswoman. According to the police, around 200 people initially gathered on Sonnenallee after a call via social networks.
