The Diakonie Munich and Upper Bavaria dismisses their board spokesman. The evangelical pastor has been relieved of his duties with immediate effect. The supervisory board decided this unanimously, as the committee announced. Reason for the expulsion are allegations of “border crossings”; an employee complained in autumn 2021. On the basis of an internal investigation, the supervisory board attested to the previous head of the Diakonie “omissions” in the context of the internal processing of the reported “misconduct”, as a result of which the relationship of trust was permanently disturbed. “This behavior, which we very much regret, does not correspond to the values of Diakonie, such as respect, openness and transparency, as well as a corporate culture based on trust,” said Peter Gleue from the supervisory board in a statement.
