Exercise Talisman Sabre helicopter crash: Four feared dead after military chopper plunges into ocean off Hamilton Island in the Whitsundays
Four people are feared dead after a military helicopter crashed off north Queensland during joint training operations between the US and Australia.
Exercise Talisman Sabre is being conducted off the Whitsundays coast.
It is understood the helicopter crashed into the ocean off Hamilton Island with four people on board about 11pm on Friday.
The wreckage was recovered south of Hamilton Island but the search for four people has resumed this morning.
It is unclear whether the crashed helicopter was Australian or American
