In the dispute over works council elections at the Gorillas food delivery service, the company’s management has achieved success. According to a decision by the Berlin-Brandenburg Regional Labor Court (LAG), an election planned for Wednesday in the Schöneberg warehouse in the capital must be cancelled. From the court’s point of view, the composition of the electoral board clearly deviates from the statutory provisions for works council elections. With its decision, the LAG overturned a decision of the labor court in summary proceedings. This had rejected a cancellation of the election last week. There has been a brewing relationship between the staff and the management of the delivery service for a long time.
