The nationwide seven-day incidence of new corona infections has risen to 336.9. The hospitalization rate is also increasing significantly. More and more regions have a seven-day incidence greater than 1000.
D.he number of new corona infections has risen sharply and exceeded 60,000 for the first time in the corona pandemic. The health authorities in Germany reported the maximum value of within one day to the Robert Koch Institute 65,371 new corona infections. Exactly one week ago, more than 50,000 new infections per day were counted for the first time.
The number of new infections registered fluctuates greatly over the course of the week. the Seven-day incidence gave the RKI 336.9 on – also a high. That came out on Thursday from the latest figures from the intensive care medicine association Divi. In around 50 districts, all beds are occupied, especially in Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg. However, the circles can to a certain extent help each other out if there are bottlenecks.
On a national average, around 11 percent of all operable intensive care beds for adults are currently free, as can be seen from the Divi figures. But there are big regional differences. The proportion of vacant beds is particularly low in Berlin (around 7 percent), Hesse (around 9 percent) and Bavaria (around 9 percent).
To classify: According to Divi, 15 percent free beds “regionally in individual intensive care areas at certain times are nothing unusual”. However, a free bed share of less than 15 percent or even less than 10 percent becomes problematic. “Especially if this occurs in several regions and houses and over longer periods of time. Standard relocation options, which can sometimes serve as a buffer, are then usually only possible to a very limited extent due to the many difficult cases. “
