Comedian Teddy Teclebrhan: “I’m often close to tears” – Society

Teddy Teclebrhan is one of the most successful comedians in Germany. It was not a matter of course that he would have a career. A conversation about his time in the home, loneliness and meditating on the train.

Teddy Teclebrhan missed the train twice. People are already waiting for him outside because he is to be picked up for the premiere of his Amazon Prime show “One Mic Stand”. Teclebrhan, 38, is currently touring through Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and he’s been on stage almost every evening these weeks. When he sits down on the couch in the séparée of a Berlin hotel, he is still deeply relaxed. Even when the conversation is interrupted and ended a few days later via zoom while he’s sitting on the train, he doesn’t let himself be disturbed – neither by the ticket inspector nor when changing trains.
