The energy agency Ebersberg-Munich is expanding into the north of the district and will soon open another office in the municipality of Unterföhring. The supervisory board of the non-profit GmbH cleared the way for this in its meeting this Monday. “We are taking another important step to advance the energy transition even better in the northern district,” said District Administrator Christoph Göbel (CSU), who is a member of the supervisory board. The new location in the Unterföhring municipality significantly shortened the journeys that previously led to and from Ebersberg and Unterhaching, according to a press release from the District Office. “In this way, the energy agency has improved its range of services in the north of the district significantly and at the same time enables even more efficient work,” explains the district administrator.
“Thanks to the ideal location in the heart of Unterföhring, we are also there for the people
who want to come to us by public transport, “explains Willie Stiehler, Managing Director of the Energy Agency Ebersberg-Munich. The new office on Münchner Straße, directly opposite the Unterföhring town hall, is the second location of the energy agency in the Munich district. The energy agency, which supports citizens, companies and municipalities in the energy transition, increasing efficiency and saving energy, was founded in 2014 initially by the district of Ebersberg. At the end of 2017, the district of Munich joined as a second shareholder in order to be able to advance its activities even better as part of the climate and energy initiative 29 ++. In February 2019, the Ebersberg-Munich energy agency opened its first office in the Munich district in the Unterhaching municipality. The location in Unterföhring is expected to open on October 1, 2021.
