It’s been a long time ! One or two weeks. This Wednesday, the national rugby league announced the postponement of the Clermont and Union Bordeaux-Bègles match, scheduled for Sunday on behalf of the 17th day of the Top 14, due to cases of Covid-19 within the Auvergne workforce.

According to the LNR press release, the ASM “requested the postponement of the meeting […] in accordance with the new health protocol”. Clermont had nine players positive for Covid-19 isolated at the time of the match and could not field the six front-line players, professionals or under contract hope, claimed by the League.
Biarritz-La Rochelle in prime time
“As a result, the competitions committee has therefore pronounced, in application of the Covid-19 protocol, the postponement to a later date of the meeting”, adds the LNR. The Biarritz-La Rochelle match, scheduled for Sunday at 6:30 p.m., was rescheduled in prime time at 9:05 p.m.
