Wang Feng, founder of Chinese crypto news agency Marsbit, said Marsbit is willing to work with other companies to acquire crypto news agency CoinDesk.
“I believe in the future of the crypto industry and I am willing to provide infrastructure in a straightforward manner. Whether it’s trading or the media,” Wang said. sayOn Twitter, “Element Finance subsidiary Marsbit is willing to set up a number of well-known funds to co-operate in the acquisition of Coindesk, including all crypto media and Consensus conference businesses.”
He added that he was interested in talking to investment funds or companies interested in partnering on the matter.
Parent company Digital Currency Group (DCG) is looking to sell CoinDesk in light of problems with Genesis and other affiliates, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Jan. 20.
Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson has also expressed interest in acquiring CoinDesk, according to a press release.YouTube videos that the current asking price for news sites is about $200 million.
In 2019 Binance investIn Mars Finance, which evolved into Marsbit, investors included Huobi and OK Capital.
Wang is also the founder of Element Finance, an NFT marketplace.
