With this recipe you can satisfy spontaneous cheesecake cravings in record time. The creamy dessert from the microwave is ready in just five minutes and can be eaten immediately.

It is known as curd cake, quark cake or Käsewehe and the classic of every coffee table – the cheesecake. Already in ancient Greece and later in the Roman Empire, the creamy dessert made from sour cream and quark was baked and served. Cheesecake as we know it today has been around since the 14th century, with the first recipe coming from the French Taillevent. The first German recipe dates back to 1598 and lists quark, eggs, sugar and butter as the basic ingredients for a successful cheesecake. To date, numerous variants of the cheesecake have developed. Whether with or without a base, as a rich cream cheese cake or a simple tart, with or without a meringue – there is almost nothing that does not exist.

Creamy pleasure at record speed

Yes, the cheesecake never gets boring, it can be baked in a wide variety of versions over and over again and nibbled with relish. However, when the cheesecake craving strikes spontaneously, no one wants to wait out the long baking time of the classic – a quick solution is needed. How about a wonderfully creamy variant from the microwave? Produced in a maximum of five minutes, the microwave cheesecake definitely surpasses the traditional variants in the speed ranking and makes culinary dreams come true in record time.

Another plus: The lightning cake consists of only four basic ingredients and can be pimped to your heart’s content. In addition, the pastry turns out to be a real protein bomb with a whopping 36 grams of protein per portion. So snacking is twice the fun. As with the classic, the basis of the cheese mass is a mixture of quark, egg and sugar. While the quark makes the cake wonderfully creamy, fluffy and moist at the same time, the egg provides the binding. Semolina also binds the quark mass and also absorbs excess moisture, which can form during the baking process in the microwave. Mix well and the cheesecake can be baked.

Multifaceted and versatile

But it only gets really exciting when you add a wide variety of ingredients to the basic recipe and adapt the microwave cheesecake to your individual cravings. How about a touch of vanilla or some cocoa powder, for example? Cinnamon, speculoos spice or tonka beans also provide exciting notes in the cheesecake batter. Recipe for a quick cheesecake from the microwave

ingredients

  • 300 grams of cottage cheese
  • 30 grams of semolina
  • 1 tablespoon of milk
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
  • 1 egg
  • fresh blueberries

preparation

  1. Put the quark in a bowl with the semolina, milk, sugar, vanilla sugar and egg and mix to form a dough. If the dough is still too tough, add a little more milk.
  2. Wash and sort the blueberries and fold into the batter.
  3. Pour everything into a large mug.
  4. Bake in the microwave at 500 watts for three minutes.
  5. Microwave again 2-3 times for 30 seconds each. Take a short break in between.
  6. Enjoy while still warm or leave to cool completely in the fridge.
