Chamber music – Janke Quartet in Neubiberg and Graefelfing – district of Munich

As nice as it is to cultivate a solo career, as a quartet you can play “Four wins” – especially if you have known the three players from childhood: The siblings Yuki Manuela, Andreas, Adrian and Ayumi Janke come from a German-Japanese family of musicians and Although they all go their own way, they also appear as an ensemble from time to time: The four who grew up in Gröbenzell and started their musical career there under the care of their parents call themselves “Janke Quartet”. All siblings celebrated early successes and became international prizewinners. They now hold leading positions in various orchestras or teach at music colleges. Violinist Juki Manuela Janke is concertmaster in the Berlin State Orchestra, Andreas Janke is concertmaster in the Zurich Tonhalle Orchestra and Adrian Janke is cellist in the Saarbrücken State Orchestra. The pianist Ayumi Janke is a lecturer at the Leopold Mozart Center in Augsburg.

The four musicians will soon be performing on two consecutive days in the district of Munich. On Thursday, February 17, they will give a concert from 8 p.m. in the auditorium of the Neubiberg elementary school, on Friday, February 18, at 7:30 p.m. in the Gräfelfingen community center. The program includes Antonín Dvořák’s Sonata in E flat major, Op. 87, as well as Johannes Brahms’ Sonata in G minor.
