CD Projekt brought together almost 330 developers for The Witcher 4

CD Projekt has put together a development team of almost 330 people for the next main game for The Witcher. It is the studio’s largest development team to date.

The Witcher receives a lot of attention in particular

Yesterday the studio announced the size of their development teams during their quarterly financial results (thanks, VGC).

“The team is constantly growing and reached almost 330 developers at the end of last month,” said Adam Kiciński, CEO of CD Projekt during the conference. “It is expected to grow to over 400 by the middle of next year.”

The Polaris team that Kiciński is talking about here has even overtaken the team behind Cyberpunk 2077, which consists of around 300 employees. At the end of October, around 220 developers were working on projects related to Cyberpunk and Phantom Liberty.

In total, there are around 700 developers at CD Projekt Red and The Molasses Flood, the studio behind Flame in the Flood, which was taken over by DCPR in 2021 and is now working on a Witcher offshoot and the Sirius project.

Thanks to Phantom Liberty, which was released on September 26th, the studio is experiencing a resurgence. To date, the critically acclaimed expansion has sold 4.3 million copies.
