Cathy Hummels was robbed and beaten while walking on the beach in Thailand. She said she was scared to death.
She tries to stay positive, life just has “ups and downs,” wrote Cathy Hummels in her Instagram story. The moderator wanted to be “a fighter” for her fans, she emphasized. She is still processing a traumatic attack from last weekend.

“I was hit on the head from behind. The perpetrator hit me several times. At some point I realized that this is a matter of life and death and I started to fight back,” she told the “Bild” newspaper Wednesday. “The most horrible experience of my life. I didn’t know if I would survive this,” she wrote on Instagram. But the attack in Thailand not only had physical consequences, but above all psychological ones.
“I have a bruised rib, my head hurts,” Hummels revealed to “Bild”. “If a man walks behind or next to me, I wince. I got really scared,” she explained. She’s been through a lot in her life, but nothing was comparable. “As a young woman, I overcame my depression, mentally I’m actually strong, but I will probably never forget this moment on the beach for the rest of my life,” she told the newspaper now and apparently burst into tears.
Her son is coming to Dubai
“The attack on Cathy shocked us. We are relieved that she is doing well given the circumstances,” confirmed a spokesman for RTLzwei. The player’s wife is now in Dubai, recovering from the hardships. After weeks apart, she will see her son Ludwig again there. “I had the best reason to fight: you. Lumpi! You’ll finally come tomorrow! You’re doing me better than anyone else,” she wrote on her Instagram profile. She also stressed that the people of Thailand were without exception helpful and asked her fans not to condemn the whole country because of one incident.
