The lawyer Andreas Mundt, 63, worked for the FDP, among others, before he came to the Federal Cartel Office almost 25 years ago. Since the end of 2009, the Rhinelander has been President of the authority, which recently received additional powers and has also made a name for itself in the fight against the market power of large American Internet companies such as Amazon, Facebook/Meta and Google.
