The Hamburg police want to provide information about the new cannabis rules with leaflets in the coming weeks. As of today, possession and consumption are at least partially permitted in Germany.
Hamburg’s police want to monitor the new cannabis law “with a sense of proportion.” Three plants and 50 grams of cannabis are allowed at home. 25 grams is allowed on the street. However, checks with precision scales are not planned.
Cannabis rules: education takes center stage
The initial focus is on clarifying the new regulations. This means that consumption is not permitted in the vicinity of schools, daycare centers and sports facilities.

Addiction support campaign should accompany legalization
