Die Toten Hosen delight their fans with a new live album. “Fiesta y Ruido” documents concerts in several Argentine cities.

Even if the Düsseldorf punk band Die Toten Hosen performs their songs mostly in German, and they have a surprisingly large fan base in South America, especially in Argentina. Whenever the band travels to one of Argentina’s metropolises, thousands of people fill the concert arenas. 2022 marks the 30th anniversary of the band’s first appearance in the South American country. This anniversary was celebrated with several concerts in the capital Buenos Aires and another show in the university town of Tandil.

Like the band in an Instagram post explained today, April 22nd, some of these performances were “recorded for training purposes” and are now to be released on the new live album “Fiesta y Ruido: Die Toten Hosen live in Argentina”.

Colored vinyl edition in Argentine national colors

“Fiesta y Ruido” – which means “Party and Noise” in German – is intended to not only present the band’s German-language hits with a total of 20 songs, but also contain several cover versions of songs by well-known Argentine punk bands. The work will be released on June 21, 2024 as a double LP in a limited edition of 10,000 copies on colored vinyl (in the colors blue and white) and as a CD with an opulent booklet.
