Activision announced shortly before the launch of Modern Warfare 3 PC system requirements published. While there have been almost no changes in recent years, the hardware for the next Call of Duty needs to be more powerful – not by much, but a few details could be tight on older computers.
This is particularly clear with the main memory (RAM), which now has to be at least 12 GB. At Modern Warfare 2 is officially enough 8 GB left. The new game also requires an Intel Core i5-6600 CPU or a Ryzen 5 1600 from AMD.
Keyword graphics card: At least a Geforce GTX 970, a Geforce GTX 1650 or an AMD Radeon RX 480, each with 3 GB of VRAM or more, are required – this is all slightly more powerful than the minimum requirements of 2022.
The situation is similar with the recommended hardware, which, according to the developers, is available for all options “High” A frame rate of 60 fps should be possible in almost all situations.
This now requires 16 GB of RAM as well as an Intel Core i5-6600 or an AMD Ryzen 5 1600, plus a Geforce GTX 1070, a Geforce RTX 3050 or an AMD Radeon RX Vega – all with 6 GB of VRAM.
Modern Warefare 3 wants an SSD
Activision generally requires an SSD with 65 GB of free memory; There are also 25 GB for the Call of Duty headquarters. For Windows 10 or 11 it must be the 64-bit version.
