Borussia Dortmund will face Paris Saint-Germain in the semi-finals of the Champions League. Coach Edin Terzic goes into the game with almost no personnel worries. How does BVB fare in the first leg?
For the third time this season, Borussia Dortmund will play against French champions Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday. For BVB, the semi-final first leg of the Champions League is about the last chance of the season for the title. Coach Edin Terzic can rely on Mats Hummels, who was replaced in Leipzig.

This also applies to Marcel Sabitzer, who was recently ill, and Emre Can and Ian Maatsen, who were recently suspended, are back. On the offensive, Terzic relies on Karim Adeyemi and Jadon Sancho on the wings, with Niclas Füllkrug at the forefront. This only leaves one place on the bench for Marco Reus. Donyell Malen and Sébastien Haller are sitting there again after recovering from injuries.

BVB winless against PSG in the group stage
In the first game of the group phase, Dortmund acted fearfully and lost 2-0. “We weren’t happy at all,” said Terzic. The 1-1 draw in the second duel shortly before Christmas was “a completely different game” than in Paris: “We now have to top this performance again.”
The coach attributes PSG to “extraordinary quality”. “Your project for what feels like ten years has been to build a team to win the Champions League,” emphasized Terzic. PSG is currently at its “peak”. The game will be close: “But the good thing about close games is that you can win them.”
