He apparently didn’t take his dismissal well: Shortly after he was thrown out, a former employee of a butcher’s shop on Viktualienmarkt stole from his former employer. Now he’s not only lost his job, he’s also in trouble with the police.
As the presidium reports, the 31-year-old simply kept the keys to the shop on Metzgergasse after his termination. Last Sunday, when the shop was deserted, he opened the cash register and safe and stole around 4,000 euros. Unfortunately for him: the store is under video surveillance – and his ex-colleagues didn’t find it difficult to identify the perpetrator on the captured footage. During the subsequent search of his apartment, the investigators not only found the missing keys, but also the clothing and drugs.
